Cooper & Hall are part of the team that has transformed Hope Foundry in Leeds into a vibrant workspace.
C&H, along with project partners Martin Walsh Architectural and Ashfield Group, are nominated for the Constructing Excellence Yorkshire & Humber Awards in the Conservation and Regeneration category.
The vacant or under-used Hope House and Hope Foundry in Mabgate are now inviting spaces for the city’s creative community and SMEs to rent at market rates.
Steve McMillan, C&H Director, said: “We were delighted to work with MAP Charity – an alternative education provider – acting as quantity surveyors and contract administrators to refurbish its existing, historic home.”
The award acknowledges the care and specialist skills needed to restore historic buildings that are often part of neighbourhood revitalisation schemes.
Hope Foundry, a Grade II listed building built in 1831, received funding from the European Regional Development Fund and Leeds City Council.
