Newsfeed: Six of the best

A team from Cooper & Hall were among the front runners in the Northern Gas Networks Yorkshire Marathon Corporate Relay in York.

The super six got a flying start, thanks to wheelchair athlete Callum Hall, son of C&H director Graham, who set the pace for the team to finish in 14th place with a time of 3hrs 26mins 44secs.

Alison Duncan, who completed the final leg of the relay, said: “We all really enjoyed the race, especially finishing so high up the field.

“It was a great team-building event. We’re already talking about next year’s race, when we might enter two teams!”

All the money raised from the race will go towards Callum’s training and development to help him reach his goal of becoming Team GB accredited.
